COURSE DESCRIPTION & OVERALL GOAL

The purpose of this training is to increase awareness and knowledge on the global status of tuberculosis (TB) and management of TB locally. The content includes global perspectives on TB, laboratory diagnostics, targeted testing for TB infection and treatment using the 12 dose regimen, nurse case management, managing drug interactions and side effects, and approaches for the resolution of complex TB cases. This training utilizes lectures, panel discussion, and case-based presentations.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

This conference is open to physicians, nurses and other health care workers who manage patients at risk for or diagnosed with TB infection or disease.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

The training is free of charge. Registration is limited to health care professionals in New York State and the deadline for registration is September 18, 2015.
